[RECAP]: IVE Stuns Newark with Their Second World Tour ‘SHOW WHAT I AM’

On July 25th, chart-topping K-pop girl group IVE (아이브) brought their ‘SHOW WHAT I AM’ World Tour to North American DIVEs (IVE’s official fandom name) at Newark’s Prudential Center. Wildly considered as the “IT girls” of Korea, the Starship Entertainment girl group consists of six members: Gaeul (가을), An Yu-jin (안유진), Rei (레이), Jang Won-young (장원영), Liz (리즈), and Leeseo (이서). ‘SHOW WHAT I AM’ is the group’s second world tour and serves as an extension of their two latest albums, Ive Secret (2025) and their second studio album Revive+(2026).

Shortly after 8 PM, the night began with a selection of the group’s high-energy songs such as ‘XOXZ’, ‘Baddie’, and ‘Black Hole’. DIVEs
The second act featured solo stages of all six members. WONYOUNG opened up the show, with REI, Liz, Gaeul, and Leeseo each showing off their individual charms. The segment closed with a powerful dance break from group leader An Yu-jin. This is the first time since the release of solo songs in Revive+ that members are able to bring their own vision to the fans. Judging from the echoes in the room, DIVEs were overjoyed to see the members explore their own identities as artists.
Act iii featured some of the group’s slower and sensual sounds, including one of my personal favorites, a city pop adaptation of ‘Off the Record’, and fan favorites such as “FLU” and “WOW”.

The most anticipated part of the concert was undoubtedly the fourth Act, featuring IVE’s most beloved songs from their discography. It started with the title track of the group’s third EP, IVE Empathy, “ATTITUDE,” as the girls went down to the B-stage with their catwalk. The energy of the stadium was at an all-time high during the iconic dance break of “LOVE DIVE”. Then came the triple attack of “REBEL HEART,”“I AM,” and “BANG BANG.”
Riding on an emotional high, fans danced their hearts out during DIVE Time — random fans were spotlighted on the big screen while vibing to IVE’s classic choreography. DIVEs were perhaps some of the most impressive dancers across all K-pop fandoms, as each and every one of them knew the choreography to a T, no matter which songs came on, and where they were sitting.
The members changed into custom looks in their merch and returned to the stage for the encore. WONYOUNG served as a DJ on the main stage and brought out all of her members with “Supernova Love”. All six members took their time to interact with the crowd. As the night came to an end, An Yu-jin took over the B-stage during “Kitsch”, while other members cheered her on.
IVE will continue their journey across North American cities, but we hope to see them again very soon.
